Maureen Kittredge, RN, NP, Lic.Ac.
Maureen is a registered Nurse and Certified Geriatriac and Adult Nurse Practitioner who returned to school yet again to pursue a Masters Degree in Acupuncture. Along the way she also studied massage therapy techniques and is now able to combine all of this knowledge to help you achieve your optimal health and wellness.
She completed her Bachelors in Nursing in 1992 and worked in the hospital setting, mainly in critical care. She then received her Master's in Gerontology from UMASS Lowell in 1997 and worked as an Emergency Room Nurse Practitioner for six years prior to entering school for Acupuncture. She received her Master's of Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest school of Acupuncture in the United States.
She had clinical rotations for Acupuncture as well as special instruction focusing on orthopedic acupuncture with Steve Cina, the acupuncturist for the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots. Other intern sites were Boston, Roxbury and Watertown.
She is licensed to practice Acupuncture by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. Licensure for Acupuncture is obtained through the Massachusetts Board of Medicine. Educational requirements are a Master's Degree from an accredited school of acupuncture and successful completion of National Commission for the Certifiction of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) written exam and Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) Clean Needle Course.
Maureen is able to use here experience and knowledge balance the Eastern and the Western approaches to health.
